Bangkok’s Main Airport Being Used as Vaccine Center
Thailand thought it had escaped the worst of the public health crisis posed by the novel coronavirus through border closure, which has instead crippled its economy. A new wave of the coronavirus infections has killed 400 people since April 1, though, the deadliest wave so far. As pressure mounts to speed a sluggish vaccine rollout, Bangkok’s main airport has become an unlikely location for shots. Vijitra Duangdee reports for VOA from Bangkok.
