Social Enterprise: The New Path to Thailand’s Sustainable Development
Social Enterprise (SE) is a concept Thai society is already familiar with. The term refers to a model that applies business solutions to social and environmental problems. Recently, Thai government has worked on a legal framework for Social Enterprise i.e., The Social Enterprises Act which is expected to pass by the end of this year. Despite some progress, knowledge of SE has to increase among different sectors particularly, legislators and policy makers who should have a deep understanding of the models, rules and practices governing SE ecosystem.
