Govt gathers fishermen’s suggestions to address their issues
The Thai government has been undertaking various measures to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing by enforcing laws in accordance with international standards. However, some new fishing regulations affect local fishermen, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives is sending out officials to follow up on the situation and seek solutions to their problems.
