Cabinet approves new water management guidelines
The cabinet has approved a package of draft ministerial regulations necessary for enhancing cooperation in water resource management and better handling of flood and drought crises, according to the Office of National Water Resources (ONWR).
Somkiat Prajamwong, the ONWR’s secretary-general, said several of the 11 draft regulations deal with the selection of river basin committee members and setting up of water user organisations and their roles and responsibilities.
